To fix the "writing on the side" problem -
ReplyDelete1. Go into "edit" then "preview".
2. Move the text down until it's about a picture height below.
3. Preview it.
Keep doing this until you're happy with it, using "preview" to check results.

ReplyDeleteThe problem is that the image is embedding in the text. Usually there's a button to correct that but Blogger knows better.
Try clicking the HTML box instead of "compose".
