Indigenous health centre to include outreach clinics

The government may be making noises like dropping the ball on the Intervention, perhaps this can start to fill in the gaps?
Teams of medical specialists will visit Bourke and Brewarrina next month, in what will be the first outreach clinics as part of a new centre of Indigenous health.

The centre is being established by the University of Sydney and funded by a $10 million donation from a former transport leader, Greg Poche.

Mr Poche is hoping that more wealthy philanthropists will donate large sums to keep the clinics going.

Sounds like a good idea. If your Aborigine areas are anything like our American Indian reservations, the best first start is a clinic for alcoholism.
