CONVICTED pedophile Dennis Ferguson has until Tuesday to voluntarily surrender before a warrant is issued for his arrest after a court ruled he could receive a fair trial in Queensland.
The Court of Appeal in Brisbane today overturned a decision made last month by District Court Judge Hugh Botting, who had ordered a permanent stay of proceedings against Ferguson, 60.
In a written judgment handed down this morning before a packed courtroom, the three judges of the Court of Appeal unanimously found Judge Botting had erred in ruling pretrial publicity would prevent Ferguson from receiving a fair trial.
