Insiders 31/8/08 at 9:00 am

Nothing about the guests on the website yet. I do know that Andrew Bolt will be on the programme today.

The Panel:
Andrew Bolt, Karen Middleton, Glen Milne

Tony Abbott guest.

The correspondent in the US spoke about Palin's selection and said that it went against the Republicans' targeting of Obama's inexperience, and then went on to say that Obama has more experience than Palin. He also implied that it was strategic because, and I just know this is going to shock you to the core, Palin is a woman!

That's about when I switched off.

Oh, I did hear the correspondent say that McCain has his work cut out for him to equal or better Obama's speech... he mostly singled out the presentation, showmanship, etc. You know, the important stuff.

My impression is that Insiders has been much improved lately — Tim Blair last week and Andrew Bolt this week were both allowed to have their say with minimal interruptions.
The inputs from the other side were balanced and therefore interesting. Hope the good manners and changing attitudes last.
