Visitors to Fraser Island are being warned to steer clear of dingos after a little girl was bitten this week in the fifth attack in 12 months.
The three-year-old was knocked over by the dingo while playing near her parents, who were fishing on a beach near Eurong late on Tuesday afternoon.
She suffered bites to her buttocks and back, but did not have to go to hospital.

Too many people think of dingos as some kind of pet. They are wild animals, cunning and dangerous.
Dingo Management Strategy (PDF) developed after fatal attack of 30 April 2001.
Fraser Island dingoes article appeared, complete with outrage at the "outrageous reaction" to the death of Clinton Gage, calling it a "massacre of 30 dingoes".
There are too many dingoes on Fraser Island. They find food easily and are well fed and so breed. When locals and tourists feed the dingoes it encourages them to approach humans and scavenge too near people. This is not acceptable because it leads to dingo attacks.
A dingo fence has been built to exclude dingos from the camping area and there have been complaints from the local aboriginals that the fence has damaged sacred sites.
