I do think it might be working again...

HURRAH!
First, I'll watch the last ep of Rome II.
Sorry, I'm addicted.

Then food...

Then some posts.

My net connection was going off and on a bit, must've been some electrical stuff happening at my ISP's server... and I was getting brown outs after the storm passed by.

Kae, Telstra has been doing a lot of work on broadband ports in its SEQ telephone exchanges lately. The works are generally performed between 2300 and 0730.
My ISP (Westnet, not Bigpond) gives me advanced warning of scheduled Telstra works so I'm not caught out by holes in my connection.
If you let me know your local exchange name, I can keep an eye out for you.

Hi Skeets
Thanks for that, it's the same as for where I live I think. The exchange I mean.
Only 6 ml of rain in the storms yesterday - looked much betterer on the radar!
I think the connectivity problems were with the ISP, I don't remember what times it was, but it was during the day. I know that there are problems because the ISP's other parts (it's a work one), have problems, too. Like the microlink connection doesn't work etc. and it plays havoc with the switch. You can't dial internally. Who had that brill idea (but it's great when it's all working!).
