It's not historically accurate as far as the big figures etc. But it is very entertaining, the costuming is amazing, the titles are brilliant, the actors are great, there's sex, nudity and drama, and Ray Stevens. What's not to love about it?
Agreed, Kae. Very convincing. Sadly, like Doc Martin I have an aversion to the sight of blood. Even more sadly and unlike Doc Martin, I'm too old for the other bits. Mrs Skeeter loves it all.

I heard a bloke at work talking about watching this - he was very impressed.
I don't think he knew anything about history though.

Skeeter, my aversion to blood is only the real stuff, the tv stuff is fine (real stuff on tv is not).
