Q&A 25/9/08 - oops I missed it*

A penultimate treat from Q&A
Thursday, 25 September
Q&A's second last program for this year is shaping up to be a corker. The Parliamentary Liberal Party has chosen a new leader. As Tony Abbott said in last week's program, "...the king is dead, long live the king. That's the way things go in politics."Malcolm Bligh Turnbull, Rhodes scholar, high profile lawyer, successful businessman, Republican and MP for the blue ribbon seat of Wentworth, NSW, is the new Liberal leader. And he is going to be on Q&A to answer your questions and maybe give you an insight to the kind of leader he is going to be.This will be your chance - with only Malcolm Turnbull in the hot seat, to ask your questions. We invite you to start thinking...
Watch it here.

I have had my doubts about Turnbull but I thought he was brilliant last night.
He handled all the loaded "when did you stop beating your wife" type questions with calm intelligence and humour.
When Tone asked him if he had his temper under control, Turnbull responded that it must be, because he had just spent 30 minutes sitting next to Tone without losing his temper.
