Here we go. The US won't be a post-racial society until a white candidate with a resume as thin as Obama's can win office.

Obama's colour was a positive advantage in this election.

His policies alone were shambolicand given to - what's the word I'm searching for? - change on a near-daily basis.

And his personal history is essentially bare of accomplishments traditionally sought in a presidential candidate.
