New book on Obama free here - "Half Blood Prince"

A book review by John Derbyshire.

Steve Sailer gives us the real Barack Obama, who turns out to be very very different -- and much more INTERESTING -- than the bland healer/uniter image stitched together out of whole cloth this past six years by Obama's packager, David Axelrod. Making heavy use of Obama's own writings, which he admires for their literary artistry, Sailer gives the deepest insights I have yet seen into Obama's lifelong obsession with "race and inheritance," and rounds off this brilliant character portrait with speculations on how Obama's personality might play out in the Presidency.
Here's the book, 264 pages. The PDF version is 1.9 megabytes. The Zipped version of the PDF is 1.35 megabytes.

Steve says:

Enjoy!

I'd like to ask my readers to help me out with publicizing this book by submitting this posting to DIGG and all those other sites that I don't know much about. Also, please email this to your friends and post links to it on websites.

It's a beta version, so we'll need to fix a few things, like the san serif typeface. But, it's a full-length, groundbreaking analysis of the Presidential candidate's 1995 autobiography and of his actual life. The posted version still has a lot of typos in it (I was up all night locating them), but we're working on it and hope to have a much cleaner version up by Monday.

The View Online option lets you start reading immediately. (If, in the unlikely event that you don't have the ability to read PDF files, you can download Adobe Reader for free from Adobe here.)

That looks very interesting and will give me something to read tomorrow.
Mine was the 1979th download since Tuesday, our time. Hope he does well with the print version.

You'll see my comment in there somewhere, that Steve misses by a mile, beginning with his glib dismissal of the case that Obama did not write Dreams.

What evidence is there that Obama can write such a book? If Steve sees 'another personality' in Dreams under the media Obama, why should this be Obama? It sounds more like Ayers to me - pathological obsessive psychopath. In fact Steve's analysis convinces me even more that Ayers wrote the book.

I have had 'issues' with Steve and his pal John Derbyshire's writings for years now. It started when Derb read Karen Armstrong's 'History of God' - a great pile of steaming BS. Derb and Steve call themselves Empiricists, but they are in fact Platonic Idealists who put the mathematical world first.

Thus they are easy prey for fruitloops and psychopaths. They would happily buy the Empire State Building if they were presented with a convicing scientific argument or prospectus, like Obama's 'Dreams' and his whole campaign.

Nerdy 'conservatives' like Steve, Obama, and Chris Buckley find 'Obama's' books 'impressive', because they are socially displaced people who live in a world of ideas and imagine others do too. I knwo this because I am like them, but I actually went out to check these ideas in reality. Derb went to China, I went to India - I say China proves nothing, India is reality.
