Some may call it sacrilege...

I call it pretty.

I have grown roses in the past (the 60 odd bushes I planted here died in the drought years ago, but they were beautiful).

I've grown the rose called "Blue Moon", and trust me, it looks lovely in a vase with a rose called "Sundowner" (I think that's it's name... no, it's not the right name... I'll remember it someday*!), an orange rose with darker veins in the petals.

*Sutter's Gold. Scroll down here for an excellent picture. Angel Face (scroll down, these are blown, but give an idea of the colour and form of the rose) and Sutter's Gold looked great together in a vase, and their scents were lovely, too.

Hmm, the one in the pic reminds me of washed-out blotting paper, but you'd have to be a certain age to remember...

Oops, no I realise it was litmus paper it reminds me of - no age probs there.
