Who is responsible? II

Remember this?

A piece at Skepticlawyer regarding the finding of the High Court.

Update:

Having read Skepticlawyer's piece, and then reading the letter in The Weekend Australian this weekend... I despair!

Read the letter for yourself.

A Professor of Health Sciences at UQ says:
Surely hotel owners need to take some responsibility for their actions in selling a product that in moderation can be very pleasant but in excess is one of the major causes of death and injury in this country, whether you consider road trauma or domestic violence let alone other diseases related to excessive alcohol consumption. Surely some acknowledgment of shared responsibility is the way to proceed.

Click the link, read all the letter.

Any amount of alcohol/sleep deprivation/etc. impairs judgement.

Would the dear Perfessor's plea be any different had the motorcyclist bought his grog at the bottleshop instead?

Blame the Professor of Health Sciences because he was not persuasive enough. Did he ever tour these emporiums of death to counsel the potential offenders on their putative fates?

Cheers
