Why the hell do we allow the fit young men of Iraq and Afghanistan to settle here in peace and comfort while our young men and women are sacrificing life and limb on their behalf?
I love and support our armed forces, and have always supported our involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan. But I am fed up with seeing their fit and healthy nationals flee their own countries with the sole aim of laying claim to our generosity while our best and brightest fight their battles for them back in the countries they abandoned.
Why don't we make it a key qualification of being accepted here that they have served at least three years in the armed forces on the battlefields of their own countries?
