Sent to try me II - Inept.

Tree growing too close to pergola (a seedling). I was waiting for it to flower this year before I cut it down. Wanted to gather seeds from it....

Today I cut it down...

Bugger. Look where the thing landed...

Now I'll have to find a rope to tie onto it and pull it down. My shoulders are already killing me... pulling hoses out of the grass, chopping part of the tree with a small axe (no room to swing and it's up higher than my shoulder).

Sheesh!

Now I'll have to get out there and spray the glyphosate I mixed up... hoping it doesn't rain. It's windy, too. I'll have to be careful.

Update

Sprayed about half what I needed to before the backpack ran out. The bandicoots have been digging more man-traps down the back for me!

Pulled the tree off the pergola roof... thought I'd got it stuck, but persisted. Everything's sore now. No goanna stuff, it will have to be voltaren after my shower. And some mersyndol night-strength equivalent for sleep.

Jeez Kae, you are having fun!!! Take it there is no rain today, just wind.
Do you have any Goanna Oil Liniment, for those aching joints,if so put it on after a warm shower it may help.

We had two inches of snow on the ground this morning. The snow looked very pretty on the trees.

The air temperature was not very warm.

Cheers

I wouldn't mind a bit of chill here now, Mini. It's humid and horrible... perspiration's dripping off me. And I have to go back out and do some ride-on mowing.

Kae, Kae, Kae.... haven't you heard of rum? It solves all aches, pains and problems; and some you didn't even know about.

Medicinal Rum is best warmed in a glass and drunk in little sips. You know, MEDICINE!

I found Voltaren last winter and love having something that eases the ache in my hands without tearing up my gut. Never used it on my shoulders, but will try it shortly, thanks, Kae!

Friend at work commented when I sent her the photos of my tree felling experience "There goes your career as a lumberjack!".

Now that was funny!

Crikey, Kae. I'll be moving up there in mid January. Looking at teh Birkdale-Capalaba-Thornlads region. Got the feral daughter into a school already, which is good.

You should have left the bugger. My chainsaw and I would have taken care of it...

House is on the market, hope someone buys it soon.

Welcome (almost) to Queensland!

Should have a welcome get together.

Email me when and I'll gather the troops.
