Spring is sprung... V , I have caught the butcherbirds!

For a while I've been trying to catch the butcherbirds calling on video but usually the result was this:

I heard that familiar sound, I wondered if they were close enough to catch their calls with my camera... the puffing and panting is Floyd. He doesn't  like the top-knot pigeons, but he's OK with these birds. I love their calls.

Then, while I was filming these butcherbirds, there were about 8 or ten of them in the trees around and even more in the distance, and you can hear them calling in the distance, I heard one in a familiar place. In the wattle tree near the pergola. So I turned off the filming and went to the place... Floyd was getting a bit upset by the pigeons and was scrabbling around in the stones and wuffing a bit... But I got the butcherbird! Sorry it's all a bit wobbly, I'm a bit shaky and I was almost holding the camera freehand, just leaning on the door post to steady me.

By the way, my Roman numerals seem to be a bit rusty... IIII?

And this is the white azalea which hadn't opened yesterday.

All the photos are delightful, love the Azaleas, and your plants are a joy to see, well done lass.

[Goes off muttering, how did she do so well with her plants???]

Psst, Merilyn...
The plants thrive on neglect (they have to), although I must confess that I did have a helper in January who repotted all the Azaleas for me and pruned all the dead bits off them.

Neglect eh? Excuse me while I go out and tell my very pampered garden a few facts of life, perform or be neglected.
