I believe this is a prairie rose... I've been waiting weeks for this spectacular specimen to flower! Just asked by MDFD about this plant she wants one for her garden. I had to look it up, it's a desert rose.
Red/crimson frangipani.
My favourite pink, it has large, round petals which overlap and it's one of the biggest trees.
