Origin electricity bill

Hmm.

Blah, blah, blah, credit.
Blah, blah, blah, amount due $197.25

Average cost per day.... $2.81 (it used to be $1.60 9 years ago, and it's been over $3 when I don't turn off the computer and a few other things when they're not in use.)

WTF?

Your greenhouse gas emissions:

April 08 nearly 2 tonnes
July 08 1.7888 tonnes
"You generated 1.7888 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions
during this period. To reduce your environmental impact,
switch to Government accredited GreenPower, and offset the
carbon emissions generated by your travel. Call us on ######
or visit originenergy.com.au to find out more."

Ok.

Where do I go to tell them what I think of carbon pollution terror and where they can go?

Ask them whether 2.000T would be satisfactory, or do you get points for emissions above 2T.

Cheers

Origin cut us off without any reason and without any warning. I had to spend an evening without any power only to ring up Origin in the morning and be told I should have a day off work so that I can be there when the Energex man comes to reconnect even though it was Origin's fault. Lost two freezers full of food and had to go to the dump to dispose of it and then had to go out and restock the freezers. Origin compensated us only for the food but nothing for the fact that they f###ed up and left us for two days without power. What sort of a company are they? Useless. We are now planning to change companies. Anyone got a good idea.

You could try the energy ombudsman, I'm sure there is one, make a complaint. Tell them you're not satisfied with the settlement from Origin. But you need to know what you want!

Not sure who can help you get a different company - how about you visit your local member and complain to them.

Since there's now another tier to be paid before we get to the bottom line it seems that we're to be gouged for our power use.
