Mice

Mice are not really that smart.

The mouse traps under the pergola have caught several mice while baited, and seem to continue to work, somehow, without bait. The peanut butter is gone, but the mice are still getting caught.

That's amazing.

I must put more peanut butter on them, if they're catching a mouse every three days without bait, how good would they be baited!
