From the sublime to the ridiculous

'Aboriginal wars' memorial plan under fire:
IN the wake of the Stolen Generation apology, the Rudd Government is considering erecting an official memorial in Canberra commemorating indigenous Australians killed by white settlers in the so-called "Aboriginal Wars".

The plan, which was immediately rejected by the RSL, would see a memorial erected alongside existing statues and sculptures to Australia's war dead on Anzac Ave, leading to the Australian War memorial.

Then there should be a memorial to the white settlers killed by aboriginals.

Don't any of these people have common sense?

I suggest that the nuts currently running the assylum do a bit of real research and include opposing views of history in their research and see where the information comes from for this "History". Or is it like "Rabbit Proof Fence", a fabrication.

I suggest they start here, here and here and try to work out a few things for themselves.

History used to be made of facts, people interpreted these facts to suit what they belived, but it was not relabelled history and passed off as fact. These days lies are being passed as truth and labelled as history. This is wrong on so many levels.

Right up there with Anthropogenic Global Warming.

Sorry I have to say this:

Oh for FUCK'S SAKE!

What an obscenity of an idea.

Now, if they want to build a memorial to the destroyed lives of Aboriginal children - neglected, malnourished, uneducated, and abused - the current generations of Aboriginal children, then yes, I'd support that, because we really musn't forget - the Rudd gov't already has.
