Bligh's popularity "in freefall"

Quite possibly because of her autocratic style of democracy.

And the emergence of a new LNP (merged Lib/Nat party).
The newly merged Liberal National Party is poised to further claw back Labor's massive electoral lead with the popularity of its leader, Lawrence Springborg, continuing to blossom.

Labor's sliding support will renew speculation that Ms Bligh may spring an early election, possibly in the first few months of the new year, in a bid to stem Labor's losses and retain power.
I hope that Queenslanders have finally woken up to the mess that the ALP has made of Queensland.
