Policy, policy, policy

Everyone's shouting that Palin has no policies...

Does the VP candidate introducing him/herself, after several rounds of scurrilous rumours, really need to have policies? Does a VP candidate need any policies - sorry, they're only the VP.

I think Palin's got it all and makes the Dems look like amateurs.

In her speech, Palin spoke in credible detail about her efforts to balance the state budget.

I once saw Obama on SBS say he didn't want business to be 'all upside and no downside'. I had a small shop in a struggling tourist town 5 years ago. I don't know of any business anywhere which is 'all upside', rather it is a tightrope walk.

Has Obama ever balanced the budget of anything bigger than his home? Does he even know what a budget is? Seriously.

Kae, you say:

"Does a VP candidate need any policies - sorry, they're only the VP."

I can name one - our eco-champion, Al Gore, VP to Clinton. Al's policies included voting against ratification of the Kyoto Protocol.
