Merry Christmas!

It's only a few days to Christmas tomorrow and I hope it's filled with joy for you, and that the new year brings hope, happiness and prosperity to us all.

Merry Christmas to you and everyone too Kae.

And thanks for keeping open house here where we can drop in and see interesting stuff and vent. Helped me stay sane.

Thank you, Bruce.

It's my pleasure to know so many interesting, talented, amazing, smart, wonderful people!

Now, I just have to go to town and buy a new brush cutter blade, the old one's blunt and now I know why they're called "weed whackers"... Not much chop when they don't cut the four foot high green panic, just sorta chew it off.

Merry Christmas Kae, and to everyone else.

Just remember that next year, you'll have to buy a carbon credit to offset your christmas lights. They will be the "in thing" for decorating the tree with.

Hi BOAB.
Greetings to J and all the little monkey-bikers.

I'm hoping that those Carbon Credit Offsets will become very pricy fire starters by about winter 2009.

Merry Christmas and Felice Navidad, to all and sundry.

Thanks RebeccaH
They played Jose singing that the other day. I used to think he was such a good sort.

Could be quite good to have someone like him interested in me now. He wouldn't see the ravages of time (and indulgence). He he.

Merry Christmas to all.
Is anybody making any interesting resolutions or predictions for 2009?

Hi Skeets
New year's resolutions? I gave them up a long time ago. I resolve to be thinner... (well, I can still try can't I?).

Hi Missred
I hope Santa brings you lots of goodies... and baddies, too!

My dear Mild Colonial Boy
Hellooooo! Thanks, I'll see you around the ridges.

Dear Egg
Hope your Christmas is fun, and don't play with the kid's toys too long, mmmmkay? I know it's like Quality Control, but you have to give a teenager his stuff eventually!

Christmas is a good time for Parents to be kids again! Look at all the great stuff you can get for kids these days! And you can bench test it yourself, just to make sure it's, um, enjoyable enough.

Merry Christmas Kae and well done for getting your blog up and running and making it so interesting and worthy of regular visits. Congratulations.

Merry Christmas to all those who blog here and to those I've had the pleasure of meeting.

Skeeter, nothing so brave as giving up drinking, but I usually dream up some impossible task that I forget within the first two weeks. Mehaul

Oooh there's a storm warning just popped up on my Weatherzone widget. I'll have to look at that.
It's looking pretty dark south of here - batten down the hatches if you're on the Gold Coast....
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
for DAMAGING WIND, FLASH FLOODING and LARGE HAILSTONES
For people in the Capricornia, Wide Bay and Burnett and parts of the Central
Coast and Whitsundays, Central Highlands and Coalfields, Darling Downs and
Granite Belt and Southeast Coast Forecast Districts.

Issued at 5:04 pm Saturday, 20 December 2008.

hmm. looks like the big, black clouds to the south of me are nothing...

I just washed the car...shoulders are killing me! It's got lots of tar on it, anyone got any hints how to get it off without too much elbow grease (I don't have much elbow grease since I hurt my shoulders). I did hear that margarine was good, smeared on and it took off the tar (imagine what it does to your innards!).

Hi Mehaul
Thanks for your kind words.
But it's the commenters who make this place interesting, with their experience and backgrounds and knowledge. Don't you think?
They also give me ideas, which helps - so, lurkers, think about commenting!

Since you love storms so much, have you tried running the weatherzone.com.au app?

kae said...

Do you mean the desktop widget? I only found out about it last week, and I downloaded it right away.
Skeeter put me onto weatherzone ages ago, bit I'd forgotten.
Is that the app you mean?

Oh, I heard from Richard Sharpe, he's fine. Just getting mucked around by, um, you know who.

Merry Christmas, Kae, & all the KaeCommenters! I've got brownies in the oven to take to a Christmas party this evening, waiting on hubby to get home so I can feed him. Weather-wise, it's partly cloudy & +75F in Jax today. LOVELY end-of-autumn day! Cold snap arrives tomorrow night with the first day of Hanukkah, which is also the beginning of Winter!

Kae, I so enjoy your blog & your people. I may not understand everything y'all talk about, but I can usually figger it out & I feel so blessed to "know" the fine people who frequent your blog-world.

Thanks to all of you for adding something so positive to my life!

Yeah, the weatherzone app. I have it on my desktop. Right now, it's telling me it is perfect weather to go for a ride.

Merry Christmas Kae ( and try and get someone to get you some Bars Bugs bug and tar remover.)
Thanks for running the Queensland Blairite franchise for us, and letting us all have a comment every now and then.

Hey scrag!! hehehe

Have a great time tomorrow, say hi to your mum for me.

Bikkies and jam will be on their way next week.

No chocolate in the bikkies so you may give one to each of the dishlickers. No more than one. ~~GLARES~~

kae said...

Hi Seza, you'll have to get yourself a googlythingy so I know it's your anonymous ID... he he.
Hey, that Bars Bugs, I have the one in the green bottle for the windscreen washers, is that the same thing? Or is the bug and tar remover different? I'll have to look out for it.

Oi Pogs, scrag yerself! I'll say hello. Yum! Um, do I have to share with the hounds? Do I? Really? Don't make me share.. please.

Kae,
The bug and tar remover is different, and is applied directly with a cloth. It smells a little like kero, but doesn't seem to damage the paint.

Yeah, must get myself an ID (a computer one- I think I already have an Id!).

All the best for Chrissy, and I hope the storm leaves you alone.

Thanks Seza, I'll look for it where I get the windscreen stuff, as I said, I reckon it's good stuff.

Thanks again. Don't be a stranger, your input is appreciated...

That goes for all the lurkers. And old Blairites.

And young ones.
