Anti whaling ship has video tapes seized by Federal Police

POLICE boarded the anti-whaling ship Steve Irwin when it arrived in Hobart last night and confiscated the ship's log book and video footage. The film depicts some of the most dramatic whale-killing scenes ever seen, crew on the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society ship told Hobart's Mercury.

There's some talk about them not being welcome in Australia next whaling season...

Bob brown was interviewed on ABC and was almost in tears. He also pointed out that Rudd had promised to take action against the Japanese whalers with the Royal Australian Navy, and if he didn't do something about it that would make it the first empty promise he'd made.

Update:
Reference to NSW Police in headline changed to Federal Police. I must have been half asleep when I wrote it last night. Thanks Skeeter.
