TC Hamish Category 5

A Cyclone WARNING is current for coastal and island communities from Bowen toBundaberg. A Cyclone WATCH is current for coastal and island communities fromBundaberg to Tewantin.

Severe Tropical Cyclone Hamish, a CATEGORY 5 CYCLONE, is located off the northQueensland coast and at 4:00 am EST was estimated to be 145 kilometres northeastof Hayman Is and 230 kilometres north northeast of Mackay, moving southeast at17 kilometres per hour.
Queensland Warnings.

It looks like the radar is out, no new images from ground radar since Saturday night at 8pm. Here's the infrared satellite image. You can find this image and have a look around the BOM site here.

The amazing revelation by journalists is that TC Hamish will be as bad as TC Larry which smashed Innisfail on Monday 20 March 2006, however, this rather depends on where TC Hamish lands. In fact, Larry was a category 4, so TC Hamish will be more severe at Cat 5, with winds at 280kph.
Gaia certainly is giving Australia a hammering, north and south, this year. Perhaps it's a sign for Kevvie? Don't mess with me, I'm bigger and stronger than you. Back off with your piddly efforts to limit GHGs and your stupid ETS. Or not.
