CANCER specialist Chris O'Brien will be remembered as a gifted clinician and someone who could reach out to his patients in their darkest days, colleagues say.More here.
Prof O'Brien has died at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPA) after a three-year battle with brain cancer.
A statement on Friday from the Lifehouse Sydney Cancer Centre at RPA confirmed he had died overnight.
His wife Gail, his children Adam, Juliette and James and other close family members were by his side.
“Some people are like Slinkies - not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.”

kae, I met him recently. He was a real gentleman. His wife always had a smile. Both showed courage.
