Remembering 9/11
It was late on the night of September eleventh (AEST) that I watched with disbelief and horror the attack on New York's World Trade Centre. It was already past my bedtime but I couldn't stop watching. It was on most of the television stations, a continuous replay of the planes hitting the buildings... then more horror as first one building collapsed and then another.
Unfortunately I don't think that there has been an awakening in many people of the cause of the terrorism which bred this attack, and the action needed to prevent this type of terrorism.
There are still people who have no inkling of the disassociation and disconnection with the modern world of the perpetrators of the 9/11 attack.
Please, read the study by Danish psychologist Nicolai Sennels for more information on why there will be no integration and why things will not change.

When this happened, daughter, rang me to tell me to turn on the T.V. We watched in open mouthed disbelief that it could be happening.
May all those who died, RIP, from this terrible incident by the terrorists.
My son had a phone call late at night to turn on the TV. We did and watched the whole saga unfold... and I phoned some relatives and friends to tell them to turn on their tvs.
Shocking, absolutely shocking.
Over at Tims Blair's blog this morning, I picked up this link that neatly summarises what this is all about.
We have a serious problem in our society with Islam and its adherents that must be addressed. If not, we can expect more Islamic terrorist attacks and stealth jihad attacks on our way of life. There is no 'happy' compromise position with these people and I have come to the conclusion that the only way to deal with them is to tell them to expunge the violence from their 'religion', prosecute anyone preaching violence, and meet any violence or terrorism with equal violence. Anything less and our society will be destroyed. I think our society and way of life is worth defending.
Enough of ranting for a Sunday morning.
Bushido was defeated in the past by real leaders. Now we have wimps.

"In this context it is important to understand that in ancient Arabic the word for religion is the same for obedience."
In September Quadrant, there is a chilling article by John Stone: Immigration Policy: Our Self-Inflicted Wounds.
Apart from official multiculturalism policies, the admission to Australia of so many (and so rapidly increasing) adherents to this deadly totalitarian ideology is the most dangerous wound inflicted by our immigration policies.
Stone's article includes a frightening explanation of how Gillard's policy on people-smugglers is going to make things much worse.
If it is not already, it will soon be too late for Australia to avoid going down the same path as the UK, the Netherlands, France and many other European countries.
Everyone I know remembers exactly where they were on that horrible occasion...I was in bed and watched the whole thing live.
Horrifying.
I remember thinking, "Bugger, the balloon is going to go up, and they'll be recalling people like me".
