Sidney, BC, is about 60 miles down the road; Sydney, NSW, rather further.

Cheers

Found this in The Shadowlands/Gavin's blog:

"She prefers lime with her G and T."

My response FYI Kae:

This is both highly coincidental and for me dissapointing. Just a week back after a couple of hundred schooners at my preferred local on a Friday night @ the Berowra RSL I asked for my favourite spirit. A G & T. The barman poured it and saw from my expression I was waiting for something. It was of course the slice of lemon. He rooted around the cupboards and fridges but alas no lemon. He suggested ,half heartedly that they did have lime . I thought about it momentarily and agreed that it would have to do .

To my astonishment (after 30 years of drinking G & T's ) I found that with lime probably shades the drink with lemon. I thought to myself "you have discovered something here nobody knows about !" Apparently this is not true. Cusrse you Kae.

How much fun was that?!

I reckon Tim Blair would be a good conversation 'cos he has wide interests, including sports. Shame you missed out on Joe Hildebrand - he looks like a happy bloke. The fella from Asian Correspondent has a sense of humour too.

A while since I've been there but the Surry Hills pubs are good venues - go there for a steak with my 36yo son from time to time if I'm in town for only a short time.

kae's grand adventure has worked out well for her it seems. Good.

I agree Mick it would have been a very enjoyable meal, and to sit back and just listen, while eating would have been a pleasure.
Good for you Kae.
