“Some people are like Slinkies - not really good for anything,
but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.”
They are beautiful, whoever took the photos has done a wonderful job, and whoever owns those flowers I am envious would love mine to grow like that.
breath taking kae.I connect with this part of your being. Its inspirational. As is your openess.Dave (a lefty) of footscray
Hi MerilynI didn't think they turned out as well as they did. The purple, green, orange and yellow one is Grevillea Venusta, and it's mine. A huge tree which I should take a pic of to show you. It's been blown over twice in storms and it is still going. Strong. Dave (a lefty)ThanksI love my garden, I wish I had the energy and time and strength to do more with it. As I said, the venusta is mine, the others are from a bloke at work's garden. It was a lovely vase full for the reception area in the office. We will do it more often, natives are so dramatic. In a few weeks the buds which are on the trees will open and there will be great displays of colour. I have lots of miniature geraldton wax, which I love, and there's lots of blooms on the Queensland Wattle, which I also love.I lived in Footscray for two months in 1990 - at a motel on the main road, can't remember its name but it was a big motel on the road to Geelong.I just looked for it, it was The Palms.
Hi kae,If at all possible would you be able to take a picture of the Grevillea Venusta, without the time stamp and a bit higher resolution please?I'd love to have it as a desktop background. If not, no problem.ThanksLouMac
Have made a note of the Grevillea Ventusta and will see if the Native Nursery has it in stock, even more important does it grow in S.A. [the soil in this area is not the best, and I have to change it to suit the plants].
