That Yul Brynner really got around!

Tarus Bulba

King of Siam.

Chief Black Eagle

Solomon

Rameses

I even saw one of his old movies the other day with hair!

Anyway, I always had a bit of a crush on him. Hair or no hair.

Old Movies

Have seen a few old movies lately... Fire Down Below yesterday.

Today by accident I've just found The Hawaiians... supposedly a boat load of Chinese (forced labour? slaves? not familiar with the story).

Anyhoo, one of the actors is definitely Japanese.

I guess they all look the same.

Must go!

Update:
Hi Stacks. My download speed is the slowest broadband you can get, so movies and even some youtube and television things are a pain to watch - it's OK if I can download them first and then watch them, but usually I can't. And I want to watch snippets of news f-a-s-t!
I'm watch 9 now, The First Travelling Saleslady, and there's Ginger Rogers, Carol Channing and a very, very young Clint Eastwood.

A new movie

Some time ago when Mum returned from an overseas jaunt (AKA spending her children's inheritance), she gave me a book she'd bought second hand in London. I enjoyed reading the book.

The Time Traveller's Wife. (Wiki - spoiler.)

There is a movie starring Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams which is to be released here on November 6th of the same name. It is a movie that I might make the effort to see before it's released on DVD. I will suspend my disbelief and see how I go - the cinematography looks brilliant.

Meeting John Malkovich

A couple of years ago I met John Malkovich in Sydney with a group of friends. He's a charming, modest, humorous man and our group had a lot of laughs at the relaxed after dinner gathering.

Mr Malkovich was filming a movie which I have just noticed will be reviewed on Pixie and Fungus' show (At the Movies) next airing.

The movie is called Disgrace.

It is true that the camera puts on several kilos.

Which reminds me, I must rent Burn After Reading!
