Wednesday Chuckle... turns into a learning experience!

I've been occasionally known to complain about getting old.... a friend in the US sent me this linky last year.

I haven't quite figured out if I'm a baby boomer or the next generation - I guess I was born on the cusp.

I wonder what that makes me? X-boomer?

Oh no, a little research (I love the internet!), I find I'm a Generation Jones...

Generation Jones implies the generation of people born between the Baby Boomers and Generation X, that is those people who are born between the mid-1950s and mid-1960s. They are usually referred to as Jonesers or as GenJonesers in the U.S., U.K., Western Europe, Australia and in New Zealand.

OOOoh, look, there I am:

The children of the late 1950s and 1960s, too young to be baby boomers but too old to be part of Generation X, have at last been given a name: Generation Jones.

Hurrah! I never thought I fitted into the Baby Boomer mould - here's what the left net-based encyclopaedia says about Gen Jones.

Does Generation Jones actually exist? I thought Gen-Xers were born right after boomers. I'll have to look it up.

I write a boomer consumer blog called The Survive and Thrive Boomer Guide at http://boomersurvive-thriveguide.typepad.com.
