Zizek Test

Tim Blair found this test which a miserable Marxist completed (go to Tim's link to read more).
I decided to do the test... Maybe I could have done better?

1. When were you happiest? When I was 23. I met the love of my life, but didn’t realise it.
2. What is your greatest fear? Growing old alone, not so much a fear as something I don’t want.. and I really have no control over.
3. What is your earliest memory? Hospital after having my tonsils out at age 5.
4. Which living person do you most admire, and why? There are many people I admire, and it depends on what’s happening in their lives/my life at the time… none of these people are famous, they are just people I know, what you’d call ordinary people.
5. What is the trait you most deplore in yourself? Sometimes I’m quick to criticize without putting enough thought into what I’m criticizing – this does not apply to anything to do with my criticism of the ALP.
6. What is the trait you most deplore in others? Dishonesty.
7. What was your most embarrassing moment? Saying the wrong thing: foot in mouth. I have it in spades. No single moment… lots of them!
8. Aside from a property, what’s the most expensive thing you’ve bought? New cars over my life.
9. What is your most treasured possession? My photographs because of all the memories they conjour, these have no value for anyone else. My diamond engagement ring which my Dad paid to have remade, I didn’t realise it then, but he was not long for this life at that time.
10. What makes you depressed? Feeling like a failure.
11. What do you most dislike about your appearance? LOL, you’re kidding, right? Fair, fat, fifty, falling, faded, frightening! It’s all bad.
12. What is your most unappealing habit? I don’t know, but I have a friend who’ll tell me (no, I won’t ask!).
13. What would be your fancy dress costume of choice? Fancy dress? Do they make them this big now? Ok, this one. But it won’t fit me now.
14. What is your guiltiest pleasure? Watching crappy TV programmes.
15. What do you owe your parents? Financially a lot, spiritually a lot, but jeez, once they had me they were stuck with me.
16. To whom would you most like to say sorry, and why? Anyone I’ve hurt unintentionally, particularly with my foot in mouth affliction.
17. What does love feel like? Butterflies, nerves, shakes, can’t talk, can’t think, comfort, security, companionship. Forgive me if I’ve missed anything, it’s been a long time.
18. What or who is the love of your life? Gone but not forgotten. Waited over 25 years for him to realise, but it wasn’t to be.
19. What is your favourite smell? sweet: vanilla, food: roast lamb
20. Have you ever said ‘I love you’ and not meant it? No, why say it?
21. Which living person do you most despise, and why? Hmm. People with power who misuse it. That’s any kind of power, particularly over other people.
22. What is the worst job you’ve done? The one I have now. I’m stale in it after seven years.
23. What has been your biggest disappointment? Not having children. However, it was never the right time or the right man, so I think I made the right decision there.
24. If you could edit your past, what would you change? I’d probably do it all the same, with the same mistakes. But I’d not do what I did to Eugene.
25. If you could go back in time, where would you go? I like it right here right now. The standard of living is excellent, we enjoy rude health and a lifestyle which allows for leisure unheard of in the past. Thanks, but no thanks. I’ll stay here, now.
26. How do you relax? Always relaxed. (haw)
27. How often do you have sex? with or without someone else in the room? not often enough
28. What is the closest you’ve come to death? I don’t know. I did fall while caving once, but I think I might have just busted myself up a bit. I had a car accident as a child which landed me in hospital for a few days. Collapsed lung, that might have killed me, but I don’t remember it much.
29. What single thing would improve the quality of your life? A large injection of tax-free cash, or selling my home to buy another closer in to the Big Smoke. However, I’d settle for finding a “significant other” to share my life with.
30. What do you consider your greatest achievement? Getting up every morning I have to and going to work.
31. What is the most important lesson life has taught you? I’m always learning, it’s all important. Tell people you love and appreciate them. Tell them that you care. Tell them when they make you laugh. Sometimes they need to hear it.
32. Tell us a secret. Never.

Now it's your turn.
