That's an interesting rant by anonymous. I missed it while I was away. He seems keen to impress us with his 'we as marine biologists..' and other faux intellectual comments that he most likely picked up over coffee indoctrination from some of the politically motivated scientists on board. The Marine Biology Profs at JCook Uni have been to the left since the place opened which may explain some of the haughty attitudes and the political overtones. The same guys who continue to tell us the Barrier Reef has been dying for the last 30 years.
He/she also seems to be very young/immature/idealistic. Take your choice. Mehaul
