TGIF - Open thread

Bloody hell.

My dear friend, I'll call her Diva, lost her sister yesterday to ovarian cancer. An insidious cancer with nearly no symptoms until it's too late. This was her closest sibling. Diva and I have been friends since the early 1970s.

Floyd the Flyer is still leaping tall gates in a bound and a scramble. Neighbour phoned last night to see if he was OK. She'd rescued him from his entanglement in the fence - she said he knew he was stuck and kept still. Until she arrived when he was so glad to see her he jumped around all over the place. She has some scratches to show for rescuing him. (Any ideas what I can give her to say Thanks? She keeps an ear out for him while I'm at work.)

Checked the low hanging mango. It's nearly ripe enough to pick. BUGGER! Perfectly ripe for the bandicoots... arrgh! It's gone! - One down and four to go.

I'm sorry about your friend. Cancer is a horrible way to go. I know, my dad suffered for years before he passed.

My condolances. Words are mere platitudes.

My condolences also, Kae, to all of you. And like Mikael, I know it's not much comfort, I would do more if I could.
